The Creative Vision

Route 66 motels in Albuquerque, New Mexico are iconic, but many need a digital update to bring their experience to new audiences. The Monterey Motel was founded in 1946 and, after buying the motel in 2019, Palindrome Communities wanted to revitalize the historic building and overall brand to attract new adventurers and wayfarers (aka guests).

The Process

Trusted Creative met with the Palindrome team to create a new website and digital booking experience. We wanted to capture the unique spirit of ABQ and the Mother Road to help the Monterey Motel connect with more travelers.

To complete the project, Trusted Creative:

  1. Created a full project plan, content strategy, and website wireframes.
  2. Crafted unique content and design that fit Palindrome’s desired brand identity and narrative.
  3. Implemented a new website with multiple booking CTAs and points of engagement to help improve their sales and SEO.

The Results

Since the website and brand relaunch in late 2020, web traffic, SEO, and bookings have all steadily increased. While reviews before the motel acquisition and relaunch trended 3 stars or below, post-refresh, reviews have consistently been 4 and 5 stars. Combined with the modern look and feel of the digital experience, that means The Monterey Motel will be prosperous and growing for years to come.
